Oradian isn’t just a core banking system, it’s also a network of customers from all over Nigeria.
Oradian has operated in Nigeria for many years, and in that time formed a large family of customers from across the financial sector. These, naturally, have a variety of different business requirements, and face a number of different challenges.
Understanding these challenges helps us refine and tailor our product to meet these needs, and in doing so, we can pass on improvements, adjustments, and new features to our entire network of companies.
How the network helps Oradian.
How does having a wide network of financial institutions under the Oradian umbrella help drive innovation and improve the overall quality and functionality of the Oradian service?
By gathering a diverse set of requirements and feedback we can more fully understand the specific needs and challenges of different types of financial institutions, and in turn tailor our service to better meet their needs. As customers scale and grow, they may make more demands of their core banking system, and by learning from their feedback we can either make changes to the system as a whole or help them integrate new features using advanced APIs.
A wide network also helps Oradian develop best practice and share knowledge. Having a diverse array of customers helps Oradian discover insights from the local market, from national and regional regulators and central banks, and about local customs. This knowledge improves Oradian’s service – improvements that are passed on to customers through better customer service and regulatory compliance.
How Oradian helps the network.
As Oradian’s cloud-native core banking system develops and evolve, it gains new features, functionalities, and integrations.
In September 2022, for instance, we added a custom field functionality, allowing users to add values to gather extra information not captured by one of the existing fields in the core system. This was a much-requested feature, and by developing it to meet that customer demand, we were able to deliver it to all of our users in one update, for no additional charge.
By being part of the Oradian network, you receive security updates, new features, and improvements as soon as they are developed.
Perhaps most importantly, the size of Oradian’s network does not hinder the growth of any one member. Totally cloud-native, Oradian has near-infinite scalability, allowing customers to keep adding new customers and developing new products without worrying about the limitations of server space. In that way, Oradian’s own network expansion has no negative impact on the growth of its members.
Powering growth together.
As Oradian’s network in Nigeria grows, so do the capabilities of our core banking system. Although the system is designed to work for any financial institution straight out of the box, learning from our customers’ needs and challenges allows us to make changes and improvements over time, so we can better tailor our product to each of our customers.
Oradian encourages knowledge sharing among all our customers, both through personal and institutional contact and at industry events – including those to be organised by us. We believe sharing best practice, building relationships and networking helps power growth, and Oradian is at the heart of making those connections happen.
